LG Energy Solution and Ford Reached a Preliminary Agreement on the Turkish Joint Venture Battery Factory

LG Energy Solution (LGES) said on Wednesday that it has signed a preliminary agreement with Ford Motor and KOC Holding, Turkey to promote the establishment of a joint venture and build an electric vehicle battery plant in Turkey.

Earlier this month, another large battery manufacturer SK on South Korea withdrew from this cooperation project with Ford Motor in Turkey. Since then, people have generally speculated that LG new energy may become Ford's new partners.
